About Us

The Action Group For Rural Advancement (AGRA) is the non-government organization from Kamrup(R), Assam. The NGO was established in 11 Jully 2018 in Murara, Rangia of Kamrup(R), Assam. It was about 50 km from Guwahati, Assam, the Gateway of Assam.

The NGO has been Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and the Regn no is RS/KAM(R)/264/H/85 OF 2018-2019 dated 03-01-2019 of Government of Assam. Action Group For Rural Advancement has worked all over the Assam.

The AGRA started working from the establishment in the different area of Kamrup (R). The AGRA has mainly three objectives which are Health, Education and Livelihood. In Assam, a person complete status can be determined by this three-point because this three-point are completely integrated with each other like if a person doesn’t go to school and gain the knowledge he/she will be never focused on different health issues if that is not severe. So it makes him/her ill and faces different health issues because of little awareness of health, in here we are working for that area where people are less literate or ignoring different issues we do programme in that area about importance of education, aware them about different health issues and also we do some free health camp. At last if in a family the livelihood status is not so good or very bad then in that family the health and education status will automatically not so good, so for livelihood, AGRA  did a programme on different scopes of livelihood which can do different category persons. For a better Society Health, Education and Livelihood should be good and improved.

The AGRA did different programme which is related to Health, Education and Livelihood like Career Guidance Programmes, Free Health Checkup, Cancer Screening Programme, Programme on Different Scopes for a livelihood by different Resource persons as per the programme. All this programme are done after the survey of AGRA  where which programme is suitable and need in that specific area.

The AGRA collaborate with some institutions, organization for fulfilling programme viz: BBCI, Sanjeeveni- Life Beyond Cancer, GNRC, Department of Social work, USTM etc.

The Agra fund is collected from a different funder or by donation as per programme and the member of AGRA gives Rs.1000  at the time of membership and Rs.50 in every month.
